Being unable to meet together in person, we’ve created ‘Discovery Club at Home’. We’ve organised some lessons and basic activities for your children that you can do at home. The notes are a guide, so feel free to put them into your own words and be creative with your storytelling.
For the suggested activity, hopefully you’ll already have most of the required resources in your homes. If you come up with another idea, go for it. You know your child(ren) and what resources you have.
The memory verses can continue and we’ve gone back to the last one handed out in class on March 22. Encourage your children to learn the verses and talk about them. In the interim, rather than having to stockpile the learning, we’re happy for them to recite each verse to you, then you can either email Kathryn, or text her with the child’s name and the memory verse number. When we come back together, we’ll be able to celebrate and award stars, including the “wall star” and treat for reaching 10 memory verses.
Discovery Club at Home is not intended to place you under pressure, but rather, give your children their own Bible learning on Sundays. I know you’re all capable of teaching your children God’s Word, but it’s my hope that these resources will assist you in this vital ministry.
Remember the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23)
